Paul O'Brien, CFA - President


Paul has over 12 years of corporate advisory and investment banking experience focused on precious and base metals mining industries, while gaining experience in the major mining markets of Toronto, Vancouver and Sydney, Australia as a member of bank-owned capital markets groups.  In addition, his equity research experience spans seven years covering senior and mid-tier gold producers, developers and also involved  precious metals forecasting at both mid-tier and bank owned firms.  During this time, he was ranked in the top five of Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street Analyst Survey" for North American Mining Analysts two years in a row.  

 

Before returning to Toronto, Paul was a Partner for an independent mining-focused M&A and corporate advisory firm, that was acquired by Standard Chartered Bank (UK) then later as VP Corporate Development for a publicly listed copper developer.  Most recently he was V.P. at an Asian-focused Investment Bank based in Vancouver, also focused on the mining industry. 

 

Paul received his B. Com. from McMaster University and is a CFA Charterholder.
